Philip Courtney IV

Phil is a long time resident of Cape May, moving here with his family from the Philadelphia area in 1995. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, PA. While living in Center City, Philadelphia, he renovated several homes during the period of gentrification of Northern Liberties. One property in particular, built during the Federal period, 1785-1815, was part of the Philadelphia Center City House Tour. Phil also served as landlord to several of his properties in the city which included management and maintenance of these homes and apartments.
For over twenty-five years, Phil has been working in the advertising business as a billboard artist and painter and later as an installer. In the meantime, he has been an artist in his own right. Several of his watercolors can be found at the Washington Street Gallery and in the homes of many residents of Cape May. He was a member of the Saint Barnabas Artists Group and participated in several of their annual shows. He was also a member of the Cape May County Art League. Phil has also been a long time member of the Cape May Tennis Club, perhaps spending too much time on the courts during the weekends.
Phil offers a variety of skills to the real estate business with experience in renovation of historic residences, his art and design education and background and his long experience of living and raising a family in the Cape May community. Phil resides in West Cape May.
