Senator Bob Andrzejczak was raised in North Cape May, New Jersey and graduated from Lower Cape May Regional High School in 2004. He joined the United States Army in 2005. Bob served in the Iraq War as a sergeant in the Army's 25th Infantry Division until his discharge following a life threatening injury on his second deployment from a grenade explosion which led to the amputation of his left leg in 2009. As a result of his injuries and actions, he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with Valor; his recovery was featured on a 2009 episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show.
Following his return from military service, Bob joined the Cape May Veterans of Foreign Wars where he became active in veterans' issues and ultimately served as Commander. Bob was appointed to the New Jersey General Assembly after being selected by committee members from Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland counties. He was sworn in on March 21, 2013 and subsequently won 3 elections thereafter. Bob served on the Military and Veterans Affairs Committee and as Chairman of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee.
Bob went on to be appointed as Senator where he served on the Budget Committee and championed legislation for working families, seniors, and veterans.
Bob now resides in Middle Township with his wife, Trisha, and two children, Bobby Jr. and Jana. He is an active leader in Cub Scouts and strives to make the community a better place
